#81: AWS DeepRacer: learning, fun or sport?

AWS DeepRacer – training and virtual racing that can be taken offline!

The development of machine learning takes many forms. AWS has set its sights on a tried-and-true formula – Formula 1 in the cloud😉 AWS cars can train and race virtually, but they can also compete offline.

AWS DeepRacing – a global league of autonomous cars, a cloud-based 3D racing simulator – allows developers of all levels to learn about reinforcement learning (RL) , one of the machine learning techniques. RL takes a completely different approach to training models – it learns very complex behaviors without requiring any labeled training data, while being able to make short-term decisions. RL is somewhat reminiscent of training with dogs using positive methods – rewards build success functions, indicating to the car whether it is still correct or not, and in this way it learns how to drive the route correctly.
