He was responsible, among other things, for CQRS modules, HTTP (including the latest changes toward HTTP/2), Streams, as well as the core Actors module. In recent years, he has also been involved in the Reactive Streams initiative, which was officially incorporated into the Java standard this year with JDK 9. In Poland, he may be recognized as the founder or leader of many Kraków-based communities (including SCKRK, PolishJUG, KrakowScala, GDG Kraków, and Lambda Lounge Kraków), as well as a co-organizer of the GeeCON conference. Professionally, he has spent most of his career (and continues to do so) working remotely, with a brief period in London and Sweden, before eventually settling in Japan.
